FAQ

Q. How do I use the bands?

A. You wear them on your wrist! Each band has a task on the outside band. A positive reinforcement is on the inside band, as well as a trophy icon. Once you have completed the task on the outside, you can turn the band over and view the praise and trophy. You can also take the band off and wear it another day, or not turn the band over at all. It's completely your choice.

Q. How do I clean my band?

A. Using cool or warm soapy water with a soft cloth to wipe away any dirt is all you need to keep your band clean.

Q. What are the dots on the bands?

A. Those dots are called braille and are for people with vision impairment. They use the braille to 'read' the task on the band. Braille needs to be raised so a person can feel the dots. If you don't need braille to read the task you can use the dots as a fidget activity!

Q. Why do you have words and an icon?

A. We realised that by using the words and an icon, the bands might support younger (or older) people to learn how to read. Some people find reading words difficult, and prefer a picture to understand what they need to do, so we put both ideas on the bands.

Q. Do I have to wear all of the bands?

A. You can choose to wear just one, or as many as you like!

Q. What sizes do the bands come in?

A. Currently, we have two sizes: child and adult. The child size is 180mm x 12mm x 2mm. The adult size is 202mm x 12mm x 2mm.

Q. What if the task I want isn't there?

A. You have two cool options! You can let us know what you would like by emailing, calling, or writing to us on social media, or you can create your own task by using our "Write Your Own" Task Band!

Q. I have another question that isn't listed here. What do I do?

A. You can contact us by email (sales@taskbands.com.au), phone us (0420 247 277), or use our contact page to send us a message. We are also on Facebook, and Instagram if you'd like to reach out to us there.

We often get asked “What’s the difference between the ‘Breathe’, ‘Relax’, and ‘Mindfulness’ task bands? This is what they mean: ‘Breathe’ - When feeling anxious, take some deep breaths 😮‍💨❤️‘Relax’ - When overwhelmed with everything happening around you, change your environment and take some time out 🌺🌼🌷‘Mindfulness’ - When you feel like the world is spinning 100 miles an hour, remember to stay in the moment 💜🧘Check our bio for the link to our website to see more of what’s on offer.

How do task bands work? Your goal might be to drink more water this year. Wear the “Drink Water” band with the task facing up. Drink water as required. When you have reached your goal each day, turn the band over and see the trophy 🏆 icon, and the “Refreshing!” praise. You’re now ready for your next task!
